Max von Werz Architects is a Mexico City based architecture practice founded in 2013 providing services in the fields of architecture and urban design. We work across a variety of scales and sectors with a particular interest in adaptive reuse, housing and projects related to the arts.
The practice offers a fully integrated service covering all project stages from concept design to construction documentation and site supervision. We pride ourselves on the attention to detail, care and professionalism that we invest in each project. The practice has an international outlook and has built projects in Mexico, Germany, the United Kingdom and Sweden. Currently we are working on projects in Mexico and The Bahamas.
Max von Werz (AA Dipl, ARB, RIBA) studied at Architectural Association, London where he graduated with the AA Diploma and at London Metropolitan University where he received a master’s degree. After gaining extensive work experience as project leader for award–winning practices such as David Chipperfield Architects and Tatiana Bilbao Estudio, he established Max von Werz Architects in 2013. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate architecture programmes (Architectural Association 2007–2013) and contributed to several architecture publications including the magazine Baumeister as guest editor. He was born in Montreal in 1977, raised in New York and Munich, is a German citizen and currently resides in Mexico City.
